Dividend Investor Pricing Options
Dividend Investor offers limited access to its research tools for free, but access to most of the platform’s lists, screeners, and alerts requires a paid subscription. A Dividend Investor membership costs $29.99 per month or $299.90 per year. There is no trial period available.
Dividend Investor Features
Screeners and Lists
The main features that Dividend Investor offers income investors are lists and screeners to find dividend-paying stocks.
The primary dividend screener allows you to sort stocks by dividend yield, payout ratio, consecutive years of payouts, dividend growth, and more. You can also filter stocks by market cap, institutional ownership, and sector.
Another screener allows you to find dividend stocks that are within 2%, 5%, or 10% of their 52-week highs and lows. There’s also a screener for dividend ETFs, which enables investors to filter ETFs based on the types of stocks, bonds, or other dividend-paying assets they hold.
There are numerous lists of dividend stocks, including lists of Dividend Reinvestment Plan stocks, Master Limited Partnership stocks, real estate investment trusts, dividend-paying utility stocks, and dividend-paying preferred stocks. These lists don’t include many filters, but they do offer a quick way to find assets other than common shares that can be used to generate income.
Another useful list displays monthly dividend stocks that pay a yield of at least 4%. Stocks that pay monthly dividends can be especially useful for retirees who want to generate steady income throughout the year.
Finally, Dividend Investors offers a list of more than 750 “Dividend AllStars.” Dividend AllStars are rated from 3-5 stars based on whether they have paid dividends for 5, 10, or 20 consecutive years.
Dividend Calendar
Dividend Investor’s dividend calendar can be used to find upcoming ex-dividend dates. You can choose a custom date range to see all stocks with ex-dividend dates in that range, then sort the results based AllStar ranking, dividend yield, payout ratio, and market cap.
Dividend Investor does not offer a calendar feature that shows upcoming dividend payments based on your portfolio like Track Your Dividends does.

Historical Dividend Data
You can research historical dividend payouts for the past 20 years for the stocks that Dividend Investor tracks. This data includes the total payout for each year and the average yield over the last 3, 5, 10, and 20 years. Historical dividend data is displayed in a table so that you can easily compare payouts between companies, although it can be hard to visualize the data if you compare more than a few stocks.
Income Calculator
Dividend Investor offers a free dividend calculator that you can use to estimate your dividend income over time. It allows you to customize your payment schedule, dividend growth rate, and investment timeframe to see how your dividend payments will grow with consistent reinvestment. However, the calculator doesn’t allow you to account for future contributions to your portfolio.
Dividend Investor Customization and Layout
Dividend Investor’s website can be somewhat difficult to navigate, as the menus aren’t laid out well and several pages offer redundant tools. The site also looks a little outdated compared to alternative platforms like Track Your Dividend or Simply Safe Dividends.
That said, Dividend Investor does offer some useful customization options. You can save custom screens and add up to 5 portfolios to your account. Portfolios must be added manually as there are no brokerage integrations and you cannot upload a spreadsheet. Dividend Investor also offers a wide range of email alerts, including for dividend increases and decreases, new Dividend AllStars, and new stocks offering dividend yields of 7% or more.
Dividend Investor Platform Differentiators
Dividend Investor offers a series of screeners and lists that income investors can use to find potential investments. What makes this platform unique is that the lists go beyond just top dividend stocks or dividend aristocrats. There are also lists for dividend-paying assets like preferred stocks, REITs, Master Limited Partnerships, and more.
Dividend Investor’s screener for finding dividend stocks near their 52-week high or low is also unique, and can be very useful for investors in search of undervalued or high-momentum dividend stocks. This screener isn’t integrated with the platform’s primary dividend stock screener, however, which makes it a little more difficult to use.
Overall, Dividend Investor lacks the stock rating and portfolio analysis tools that competing platforms like Simply Safe Dividends and Track Your Dividends offer. The lists and screeners are very useful for idea generation, but Dividend Investor doesn’t provide a lot of ways to follow up on these ideas.
What Type of Trader is Dividend Investor Best For?
Dividend Investor is best for income investors who want to look for income-generating assets beyond just well-known dividend stocks. The platform can help investors find stocks that just missed the cutoff for being dividend aristocrats, high-dividend preferred stocks, dividend-paying ETFs, and more.
Investors may need to use an additional stock research service to look more deeply into the assets that Dividend Investor surfaces, as the platform doesn’t offer much information about dividend safety or stocks’ price performance.
