About Quant Data
Quant Data is an options order flow platform that allows traders to see all options trades and dark pool prints happening in the market. The platform offers a highly customizable options flow feed as well as tools for charting and stock research.
Importantly, Quant Data provides all options flow rather than only highlighting unusual flow. So, it’s ideal for traders who want to build their own options activity screens rather than rely on pre-made filters.
In our Quant Data review, we’ll take a closer look at this options order flow service and help you decide if it’s right for you.
Quant Data Pricing Options
Quant Data costs $74.99 per month or $749.99 per year. You can try out the software free for 7 days.
Quant Data Features
Options Order Flow & Filters
Quant Data provides a real-time feed of options order flow. Options order data is unfiltered by default, so you can see every options order that’s executed across multiple exchanges. The feed shows details, including the underlying stock, strike price, expiration date, type of trade, total premium, trade volume, and open interest.
You can quickly filter the Quant Data feed using a custom set of ticker symbols or based on any of the options data available in the feed. The platform also lets you create an unlimited number of custom filters involving multiple parameters. These filters are very useful because they effectively enable you to build custom scans for unusual options orders. You can filter for trades with volume greater than open interest, for example, or premiums above a certain amount (or both). Saved filter groups are easy to access and can be applied quickly to look at different cross-sections of options trading activity.
One thing we noticed when using Quant Data is that the feed can be glitchy. There are multiple ways to filter the feed by ticker, but we found that some of them don’t work, and using those filters will simply freeze the feed. The only way to restart the feed is to refresh the page, which removes all current filters. In addition, sorting the feed using columns other than time (for example, by premium) freezes the feed. We tested Quant Data in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and found similar issues across both browsers.
Quant Data also offers historical options order flow. You can search orders for any date range in the past 21 months and use your saved filter groups to search for individual tickers or unusually large trades.
Dark Pool Prints
Quant Data also offers a feed of dark pool prints, which are large equity trades executed through alternative trading systems. You can quickly see the stock being traded, the size and execution price of the trade, and the total value of the trade. The dark pool feed can be filtered by ticker, size, price, or total value.

Alerts
Quant Data uses an algorithm to identify unusual options orders and notify you of them in a dedicated alerts feed. The platform doesn’t provide much detail about how alerts are generated, so approach this feed with caution. Clicking on any alert will automatically filter your options order feed for that ticker so you can conduct your own analysis.
News Feed
Quant Data offers a built-in news feed, which is useful for keeping an eye on breaking news that may be driving options trading activity. News headlines are color-coded according to whether they suggest bullish or bearish activity. Helpfully, you can use any of your saved options feed filters to filter the news feed, so you only see news for tickers that are experiencing unusual order flow.
Stock Reports
Quant Data includes detailed stock research reports from Refinitiv. These PDF reports offer a quick look at what professional stock analysts think about a company. Stocks are scored on a scale from 1-10 and receive ratings for earnings, valuation, momentum, risk, and insider trading activity. The reports also go into more detail about each of these categories and do a nice job of comparing companies to peers in the same sector.
Note that these are PDF reports rather than interactive pages. You can find much of the same data using fundamental analysis platforms like Atom Finance or Finbox. However, having these reports included with Quant Data can save you from having to purchase another service specifically for stock research.
Charting
Quant Data offers basic technical charts with more than 30 built-in indicators. The charts are capable enough for quick analysis, and you can view one-minute price intervals. However, the charting interface isn’t especially easy to use, and Quant Data is far from being a dedicated charting platform.
Customization and Layout
Quant Data offers plenty of customization when it comes to laying out your workspace. You can resize any of the windows in the Quant Data dashboard as well as pop any feed (including the options, dark pool, and news feeds) into a new window.
Quant Data Platform Differentiators
Quant Data stands out among options order flow platforms for giving traders access to all options order data. That’s in contrast to services like Unusual Whales and Optionsonar, which focus primarily on unusual options activity.
The benefit of Quant Data’s approach is that traders have more flexibility. You can build your own custom filter groups to define unusual order flow, as well as evaluate large orders against the background of all options activity for a ticker.
The drawback is that Quant Data isn’t a simple out-of-the-box solution for analyzing options order flow. You have to spend time developing filters and figuring out how to eliminate noise in the options order feed. While Quant Data offers alerts, it doesn’t color-code options orders with volume greater than open interest or otherwise highlight unusual trades in your primary options order feed.
It’s also important to point out that Quant Data has significant glitches in its dashboard. Since this platform relies heavily on filters to make the data actionable, it is potentially very problematic that some filter and sorting options appear to freeze the options order feed.

Quant Data is best suited for experienced traders who want to use options order flow data to track what institutional investors are doing and generate trade ideas. More specifically, Quant Data is designed for traders who want to build their own custom filters to define unusual options activity, rather than rely on black-box algorithms that are designed to identify unusual options activity for you.
