Investing.com Pro Features

Stock Research

One of the key benefits of upgrading to an Investing.com Pro subscription is access to more in-depth stock research than what’s available for free through Investing.com.

To start, you get access to the results of 14 different valuation models that show the predicted fair value of a stock. This can be very useful for value investors, since you can see the spread in predictions from different models. You can also click on any model to see the assumptions that go into it and a breakdown of variables by year up to 10 years into the future. You can’t edit models directly in Investing.com Pro, but you can export the model data to Excel.

Investing.com Pro - Fair Value Analysis

Investing.com Pro also gives each company a financial health score on a scale from 1-5. The score is subdivided into five rating categories: growth, profitability, price momentum, cash flow, and relative value. Each category receives its own 1-5 score. Helpfully, Investing.com Pro also charts how these category ratings have changed over time for each stock.

An earnings tab for each stock shows the date of the company’s next earnings report, the consensus EPS estimate, and the number of upward and downward EPS revisions. A table shows the stock’s price change the day after reporting earnings for the past 13 quarters.

Peer comparison lets you benchmark stocks against one another. You can use a bubble plot to compare stocks based on fundamental or valuation metrics. A table provides more information about the stocks in the comparison along with the predicted fair value and upside/downside for each. Investing.com Pro automatically picks peers to compare for each company, but you can also add your own stocks to any comparison.

Fundamental Charts

Investing.com Pro allows you to chart fundamental data, similar to Stock Rover and YCharts. It’s impressively easy to add any of the platform’s supported fundamental and valuation metrics to a chart at the same time. You can also add multiple stocks to compare two or more companies on specific metrics.

There are hundreds of metrics available to chart, including popular ones like revenue, EBITDA, dividend yield, P/E ratio, and more.

Model Portfolios

Investing.com Pro has more than 4,000 model portfolios that you can use to generate investment ideas. These portfolios are based on the portfolios of famous investors, hedge funds, and investment advisors—basically, anyone who files Form 13F with the SEC. The portfolios are similar to what you can find in TipRanks or GuruFocus, which similarly track the holdings of well-known investors.

You can screen the portfolios based on performance, number of holdings, turnover, sector focus, or investor type. Clicking on any portfolio brings up a more detailed page showing the holdings, a performance chart, and Investing.com Pro’s fair value estimate for each holding.

Stock Screener

Investing.com Pro includes a powerful stock screener with nine premade screens. The premade screens are value and performance-focused. They include screens for “bargain” stocks, stocks that meet Benjamin Graham’s investing criteria, and stocks with high dividend yield and profitability.

You can also create your own screens using any of Investing.com Pro’s metrics. Metrics include fair value upside, upside based on analyst ratings, and financial health ratings.

Results are displayed in a customizable table that summarizes many of Investing.com Pro’s proprietary metrics, including fair value and financial health grades. You can add any metrics to the table to compare them across stocks that passed your screen.

Watchlists

You can create as many watchlists as you want in Investing.com Pro. The watchlists use the same helpful table format that is used across the platform, enabling you to quickly see stocks’ performance, upside potential, and fundamental metrics.

In addition, you can run an analysis on any watchlist. The analysis shows your watchlist’s performance over time, the breakdown of holdings by sector, its total dividend yield, and more. You can customize the weight of each holding in a watchlist to make this analysis even more helpful.

Customization and Layout

Investing.com Pro offers a fair amount of customization. You can not only build custom screens and watchlists, but also save model portfolios, fundamental charts you created, and valuation models you want to return to. Saved items are stored in their own tab within the Investing.com Pro platform, making them easy to access.

Investing.com Pro Platform Differentiators

While none of the tools that Investing.com Pro offers are unique, the platform does a nice job of bringing together a ton of fundamental stock research for value and growth investors.

The range of fundamental data available is huge, and investors can easily benchmark companies against their peers or monitor changes in fundamentals over time with charts. The fair value analysis is especially valuable since Investing.com Pro runs multiple valuation models and displays the results of all of them.

What Type of Investor is Investing.com Pro For?

Investing.com Pro is best-suited for self-driven investors in search of value or growth stocks. All of the platform’s tools center around fundamental investing, with upside potential based on valuation models as one of the most actionable metrics.

The platform mostly leaves it up to you to find promising stocks. You can generate ideas using the model portfolios and stock screener, but there aren’t lists of highly rated stocks. In that sense, it’s very different from stock research platforms like Zacks Premium and Seeking Alpha which offer top stocks lists to help investors get started.

Short-term investors and technical traders likely won’t find Investing.com Pro to be useful, as there are no technical charting tools included in the platform.

Is Investing.com Pro Worth It?

Investing.com Pro provides a ton of research features that aren’t available with the free version of Investing.com. If you’re serious about finding value and growth stocks to invest in, you’ll find a lot more to guide your decisions with Investing.com Pro than you will with Investing.com’s free site.

That said, it makes sense to compare Investing.com Pro to other paid services. It’s most similar to Stock Rover, which includes research reports, in-depth portfolio analytics, a fundamental stock screener, and correlation analysis tools.

Stock Rover starts at only $7.99 per month, but you’ll pay $27.99 per month—the same as Investing.com Pro’s monthly subscription right now—for access to fair value analysis. Overall, Stock Rover is more powerful and customizable, but Investing.com Pro is a lot easier to use. It’s worth trying out both platforms to see which you prefer before committing to one or the other.
